What is Cyclesheme?

The Cycle to Work scheme is an employee benefit that allows working adults to save up to 42% on the cost of a bike and/or cycling accessories. You can calculate your potential savings here.

Savings are achieved by purchasing the bike and/or accessories through a pre-tax salary deduction, meaning payment is made before tax is calculated. This reduces an employee's taxable income and results in a tax saving. This process is known as salary sacrifice.

Where do I get a Cyclescheme certificate?

If your employer is signed up to Cyclescheme, you can head to www.cyclescheme.co.uk and follow the instuctions there to be issued a Cyclescheme certificate.

How much money can I save?

Because you save on tax and nation insurance, a standard rate taxpayer will save a minimum of 25% through Cyclescheme. Normal savings tend to between 25 and 39%!

Can I use my certificate online?

Yes! Choose your package and enter your certificate details on the payment screen.

What can I buy with my Cyclescheme certificate?

There are three packages available with cyclescheme. Just a bike, a bike and accessories or just accessories! The only cycle to work exceptions are:

GPS ride trackers and navigation devices
Bike racks for cars
Cameras
Turbo trainers or rollers
